Since the dawn of man, art has been the most important part of building a society. Our ancestors drew on cave walls depicting their daily lives, because there was no facebook. They couldn't just post on their timeline how their day went, no, they had to sketch out how they lived on a day to day basis. This was for future generations to have an understanding of where they came from and how to survive.
Today it's not as impactful. But it's still extremely important to every day life.
Take culinary arts, for example. Without this art, there would be no restaurants or bakeries or big family get-together's.
Our society today is built off of presentable food. The way it looks and tastes is all because of the chefs and master culinary artists.
Dance and theater is a vital art necessity. Otherwise, our world would be filled with non-entertained and unmotivated people that sit around the house and eat all day. But with this "moving" art, people around the world can be a part of a bigger theatrical community with the ability to tell a story with their movements.
Dance has been a part of many cultures since humanity began. It's a universal language that conveys feelings and events. Dancing brings people of diverse backgrounds together to perform one large, inspiring, story.
Let's not forget about film and cinematography. This is a vital part of capturing and distributing other arts to the rest of the world. It's how you and I can view the same piece of art from different parts of the world at the same time.

As a society, our world is built upon fictional stories meant to entertain our minds. The most groundbreaking way to convey these stories was by television and images.
Music is the most influential art form that had been around for centuries. Musical instruments are a form of expression, it allows the artist to convert their emotions and thoughts into sound.
Whether it be pop music, or classical, feelings and thoughts are poured into the making of music. It is a significant way artists communicate to their audience. It brings people together with a common interests and common emotions. People bond over music, friendships form because two people like the same sounds as each other. It's really beautiful.
Visual art is the one most people associate to the word "art". This form of art comes in many different shapes and sizes. There is painting, pencil drawing, charcoal, monochromatic (one color through the whole piece), multi-color, dots, forms, use of the negative space (the actual page you're drawing on).
A visual artist shows their emotions via colors and shapes. This is what got the human race to where it is now. You can call it the keystone art form.
